Consumers can make informed decisions this festive through an app launched by kalahari.com, South Africa’s biggest online store.
The kalahari.com Scan and Shop app allows shoppers to scan barcodes, compare prices, browse and buy thousands of products online. Shoppers have spending and saving power in their hands as they can make sure that they are in fact getting the best deals and that they never miss out on great savings.
The app comes with helpful features that fully equip shoppers to handle any shopping emergency:
Barcode scanning
The festive season is full of promotional offers and sales in store. But is it the best deal? Shoppers can simply direct the scanner at a book, DVD, CD, game or gadget barcode and it will scan automatically and compare the price to the products found at kalahari.com.
Search
Shoppers can simply type in what they are looking for and the app will display one of the relevant products from the 8 million products available on kalahari.com.
View promotions
Bargain hunters or shoppers keen to find the hottest deals, can use the app to check out the daily promotions and save money.
Browse by category
The online shopping equivalent of window shopping or walking through aisles. Select the category that most tickles your fancy and see what’s on offer.
Buy
If shoppers find something they like, they don’t have to stop there. Shoppers can easily proceed to checkout, either via the app or through their internet browser.
Help
A help page is available for all important queries and to set shoppers’ minds at ease.
The kalahari.com Scan and Shop app, is available on Android today, and iPhone shortly after.
Kalahari.com will also be delivering orders straight to the shopper’s door and for free until December 31.
