Entrepreneurs are always being spread to thin having to do all the work in the business. So with this in mind I though your would like to know the top three social networks that should give you the best return on your marketing effort online.
Only because everyone is on Facebook. This is a great network to get onto and start promoting yourself on. Depending on your industry it may become a great way to generate business. However if you are very B2B orientated I would suggest focusing on Twitter and Linkedin before Facebook. Facebook is great for unique products that the end consumer will enjoy.
If nothing else Facebook is also a great place to garner support from your friends and family as they comment and ‘like’ your business updates. Being an entrepreneur can be lonely at times so its nice to be able to see and feel the support.
Twitter is the primary network that launched my consultancy in Johannesburg. All my business connections began on twitter with the exception of those that found me in Search Engines. B2B consultant can use twitter to create a formidable online presence that displays their skills and knowledge which in turn generates business leads and an interested database of followers
The video network recently became the fourth most visited website in South Africa by South Africans. YouTube can be used as marketing vehicle to explain complex products to potential and interested clients. YouTube videos also do well in search engine rankings and therefore may start to drive business through Google to you.
Of course none of this will really bring you any business unless you start with a blog/website to drive all your new found traffic to.
