We’re interviewing leading business minds and entrepreneurs to find out more about who inspired them to get to where they are today.
We asked entrepreneur, marketing guru and CEO at Quirk eMarketing of Rob Stokes about who inspires him most.
1. As an entrepreneur, who inspires / first inspired you?
Probably my dad as he has always been an entrepreneur. He provided me with the inspiration and desire to be an entrepreneur in the first place, Mark Shuttleworth inspired me to start Quirk whilst I was at University. I figured if he could make a couple of Billion, so could I. How wrong I was…
2. What is your best piece of business advice?
For young entrepreneurs in particular, my best advice is to seek out the wisdom of experience. It’s often so valuable that we can’t even see it, but there is no substitute for the hard edge of experience. Tapping into this can save you from learning many lessons the difficult way.
Yes, we hope that one day we all have a Mark Shuttleworth story to tell. Thanks a lot Rob for the sound advice!
