Social media marketing can take up way too much time when you are trying to run a business. There’s a ton of benefit to using social media for business. I have learnt this myself as I launched my consulting career primarily off twitter and blogging. So I thought I would give you three quick tips to help you leverage social media the best.
1) Pick one social network
If you are strapped for time just select on network as your primary network. Decide which network has the most potential users and then focus on that. Your focused energy will return much better profits than a half hearted attempt on 5 different networks.
2) Blog the easiest way possible
Choose a blogging style that suits you and the time you have available. If you are a video person, stop trying to write all your posts. Open a YouTube account and post up video blogs instead of trying to write them all the time. If you have a face for radio and know how to record, look into podcasting. The trick is to use a medium that you are comfortable with and then spread your message using that medium.
3) Be interesting
Only post content that you feel will benefit people. If people like your content they will promote you and your job gets easier. If you keep posting irrelevant and uninteresting content then people will simply ignore you.
