We’re interviewing leading business minds and entrepreneurs to find out more about what inspired them to get to where they are today.

We asked South African entrepreneur, celebrity and founder of the Ubuntu Project, Mark Shuttleworth (yes, the guy who travelled to space!) what inspired him to start his business and also what business tip he has for aspiring entrepreneurs out there:

1. As an entrepreneur, who inspires/ first inspired you?

Ford. “If I asked customers what they wanted, they would have said ‘a faster horse’”.

2. What is your best piece of business advice?

Work on the things you find most interesting. There are no guarantees of success, but you can choose what you spend your life working on.

Thanks Mark for your insights – we really love the quote by Henry Ford!
