We’re interviewing leading business minds and entrepreneurs to find out about their favourite business book they’ve ever read. This week we asked CEO and Founder of San Francisco based startup Yola.com, Vinny Lingham, to tell us a bit about his all time favourite business book. Here’s what he had to say:
1. So Vinny, what is the best business book you’ve ever read?
Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
2. Have you read any of his stuff before?
I’ve read quite a few of his books. Most of them are US focused, though.
3. Tell us a bit more about the book. What’s it about?
It’s really about not being complacent, if you want to become an entrepreneur. It teaches you to understand the various phases that you need to move through, in order to become financially independent.
4. What other books can you recommend?
Although it’s not strictly a business book, I highly recommend reading “Chasing Daylight” by Eugene O’ Kelly – it a book about balance in life.
Thanks Vinny for sharing with us. Here at Ideate we take joy in finding out what inspired world renowned entrepreneurs and helped them to get where they are now!
