Productivity is one of my hobby horses. I love to find ways to be more productive and to increase the quality of my production. I am also completely aware that there are tons of people out there like this and they would appreciate a few on my favourites. So here they are:
I have been using this programme for years now and have found it to be a great way to keep up to date with the news in my industry. The programme interfaces with your web browser and allows you to tick any webpages that you want to read but don’t have time for right now. You can then go back and read them later.
The app also integrates with mobile technology and allows you to access the pages you have saved from your phone. The pages can be accessed via the web or downloaded to your mobile device for reading when you are not on an internet connection. A very cool feature is that you can download the text of a page only which saves you bandwidth and irritation from all the advertising on the page.
A GTD to do application that has so many features I am just going to send you to their website for more info. This would be for mac users only and has an iphone app to control your to-do list and projects on the fly. This app has saved me so much time, free’s up my mind-share and helps me in never miss deadlines.
Another mac application. Things is a great application but lacked the ability to manage ideas. In my case blog post ideas. In the past I would add these ideas into Things as tasks and they would just become an irritation as I tried to get my daily tasks out the way. Shovebox allows my to record my ideas quickly and easily and then access them later in a well categorised manner. Think of it as an inbox of creativity!
