We’re stoked to introduce a new contributor to Ideate, Mike Saunders, who will give us input on all things social media. This is becoming increasingly important for business types such as yourselves to get the hang of. Mike is a marketing professional whose passion lies in coaching people and business in the art of leveraging social media and the internet for the purposes of extending networks, generating business and enhancing personal profiles. Mike believe’s that social media needs to be approached with a strong focus on strategy and should be backed up with good foundation of search engine optimisation and creative content.

Mike’s blog comments on social media and brings a South African focus to the topic. His twitter profile (ranked in the top 100 by Twitterholic.com) is an additional tool for people who are looking to know more about South African social media as he links to interesting articles that inform and challenge this marketing industry.

In 2009 Mike started Glamour Bride, an online wedding magazine that harnesses the power of social media, SEO and creative content. This project has become an example of how Mike would see successful campaigning to build an online social culture. Mike has a strong moral and spiritual core and this is seen in his second blog “On Things Above” and his podcast sermon series.
