I’m not a huge tax boffin. Because of this sad fact, I have made the decision to get smart people to help me with my tax stuff. One such person is Derek Jansen of DerekJay Business Training.
Since we all know that I’m not the only one who gets a little frazzled by tax challenges in our companies, Derek is offering one lucky business owner a free registration at the “Save Company Tax In 2010” seminar, which takes place on the 6th February 2010 in Johannesburg. Now listen up, all you entrepreneurs out there, this is important. Tax return season is coming up soon. Derek’s informative half-day course is essential for any entrepreneur who wants to ensure that they minimize their company tax and maximize profits.
Derek told Ideate: “SARS recently employed some 18,000 accountants in order to carry out an audit of every single company over the next 5 years. For the average business owner, the South African Tax Law seems a load of gibberish. We therefore decided to bring it back to basics and explain tax in plain-language, allowing our seminar attendees to maximise their tax efficiency and save wherever possible, thus increasing the amount of cash they are left with.”
It’s essentially a Small Business Tax For Dummies type course – ideal for the business savvy entrepreneur… like the average Ideate reader, of course!
Win, win, win!
Okay, so it’s not exactly Friday, but we’ve got one seat to give away thanks to Derek and his team. To win your seat at the “Save Company Tax In 2010” course, email your name and cellphone number to Derek here. For more information on the seminar, visit Derek’s company’s website here.

Nice giveway. Tax is pretty confusing in SA (I think!) so a definite must for small business owners.
