Should I Upgrade to Windows 7?

The latest Windows client operating system, Windows 7 is said to be simpler and even more user-friendly. Let’s see what it offers that’s new and better. There are some great new features that you’d like and here are just a few that I find really useful.
Snap allows you to instantly arrange two windows exactly side by side. All you do to resize you window is drag it to the edge of the screen. This little feature makes it real easy to compare different widows and to organize them.
With Windows Search you can search your whole PC from files to emails to songs by just typing in your search from you start menu. Windows Vista had a similar function, but with Windows 7 it has been refined to give you more relevant search results and you can search in a broader spectrum of places.
Improved Memory Use allows your PC to perform faster. Windows 7 runs fewer background services which reduces memory and processor utilization.
Now, you can buy a new PC with Windows 7 already installed or upgrade your current PC. All Windows XP and Vista editions are compatible for a Windows 7 upgrade. There are 3 upgrades to schoose from: Premium, Professional and Ultimate. Microsoft has released costs of Windows 7 in dollars which ranges from R878 to R1, 610 when converted.
Microsoft offers a great guide for small to medium sized business owners and how they can get the best out of Windows 7. Click here to check it out.
The Mail&Guardian describes it as like Vista, but better. “Most of Vista’s annoyances have either been removed, or (mostly) can be changed so the system works the way you like – It takes personalisation to extremes.” Windows 7 is not essential if you’re still happy with XP but don’t use that as a reason not to get it. Go check it out and decide for yourself but know that Windows 7 is definitely a great product to own.

Got Windows 7 running on my home computer and its a massive improvement on the Vista nightmare. It’s a tempting move…even for Mac OS Snow Leopard users!
