Whether it's an Afrikaans speaking person not understanding Sotho or an English person not understanding Afrikaans. I personally don't know anyone who speaks more than 2 of South Africa's official languages. I can sing the National Anthem - that doesn't mean I know what all of it means. :) I think it’s more a case where our National Anthem contains so many different languages that most don’t understand all the languages.
