10 of the coolest laptop bags

Has your laptop become an indispensable item in your life and your business? Mine has and I’ve been carrying it around in a boring ‘geek issue’ black laptop bag (you know the one) for sometime now. It’s not cool. There have been rumblings of a hardware upgrade in the office…which could mean a shiny new little something for me. So, I decided to do some investigation and see what the world of laptop bag fashion has to offer on the web.

This is a serious bag with serious space. This Slappa bag boasts industrial strength straps that will keep you laptop on your shoulder no matter how heavy the load – it even holds a kid on a tree. My current laptop bag’s strap came off recently while on my shoulder and I now have a laptop with a slightly smashed in corner and a DVD drive that doesn’t work. 7. TOM BIHN CHECKPOINT FLYER

I really like this concept! The Tom Bihn Checkpoint Flyer Bag has been specifically designed to meet the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) requirements for x-ray screening, allowing you to keep your laptop in your bag when you send it through the x-ray machine at the airport. It’s been approved in the USA, not sure how it will be received around the world, but never the less a brilliant concept. See how it works here.

8. RAWLINGS LEATHER MESSENGER BAG

This bag has been blessed with good looks – the leather, the old American vibe…extremely appealing. It’s not made specifically for a laptop, so a laptop sleeve will be a must in my opinion. But still, it’s a hot piece of hide and it can certainly stay in this list for many years to come. Catch more here.

9. TOM BIHN RISTRETTO LAPTOP BAG

This is what they call a ‘vertical messenger bag’ – I like the fact that it is less bulky than your standard horizontal bags, which is especially handy for congested spaces. It wields a padded laptop compartment that protects from all sides and is the perfect size for the Macbook Air and the 13″ Macbook Pro. More specs here.

10. NORTH FACE BACK-PEDAL MESSENGER BAG

The North Face Backpedal Messenger Bag has two main compartments – one for a laptop up to 17″ in size and the other big enough, zippered and separate enough for a set of sweaty gym clothes. Awesome.
