“Did You Know” videos on YouTube have been around for a while, freaking people’s minds with factoids about the now / the future. This is the latest one I’ve seen, mainly focused on US technology consumption, but interesting nonetheless. Some excerpts:
- Feb 2008, Barack Obama raised $55m in 29 days on social networks, compared to John McCain’s $11m through traditional fund-raising events
- 17% of large US corporates have disciplined employees for disparaging remarks about their workplace on social networks
- 90% of the 200billion emails sent every day are spam
- The mobile device will be the world’s primary internet connection device in 2020
