Bushmills Hamper[NOTE: This giveaway is over. We have 2 winners: Adrian and Nic, well done chaps.] We’re huge fans of whiskey here at the company that I founded with another whiskey drinker (Mike Perk, guy in the pic)*. We’re pretty excited today, since Bushmills, the fabulous Irish Whiskey brand, have just dropped off two hampers of whiskey “merch” for a pair of lucky Ideate readers.

These nice people at Bushmills tell us that they are launching the first South African national Twitter pub quiz. Since Ideate readers have been clinically proven to be smarter than all other blog readers, they’re looking to get you involved. You know you want to – just log into your Twitter account and then saunter over to @BushmillsSA and send a follow request.

How do you win the 2 hampers? EASY!

So (continuing in Ideate’s theme of giving awesome stuff away) all you have to do to win a hamper – including a special edition bottle of Bushmills. a cap and a Levi’s Bushmills branded t-shirt (yehhh baby) – is to give us your best pub quiz question in the comments box below. We’ll draw the two best pub questions tomorrow – go! go! go!

THEN win a classic Jaguar E-Type!

Then, once you’ve finished cleaning up here, then go over to Bushmills and register on the site to stand a chance of winning the Bushmills’ cellar master’s 1969 E-type Jaguar. Yep, you heard me -a classic 1969 E-type Jaguar. If you don’t know what that is, cast your eyes on this number…

Believe me, you want this car.

Back to the pub quiz, while you were looking at the car, I just made up two questions on the fly, just to get your creative juices flowing:

  • Who scored the slowest century in test cricket history?
  • Which is the best business blog in the country?

So, what are YOUR clever questions? Slot them in the comments and you’ll soon be holding your very own hamper of whiskey goodness.

Oh, and no under 18’s please.

*Out of interest, there is a video floating around of me singing “Angie” at a Korean Karaoke bar in Sea Point at the top of my voice, with Mike laughing hysterically in the foreground. In case you ever get to see it, know that LOTS of whiskey was drunk beforehand – which will help to explain why I sound like Mick Jagger on ketamine.

Okay, the Ideate authors’ votes are in. We have 2 winners:

Adrian for “Gay and Frisky & Fisherman’s Daughter” which is just too damn bizarre not to be taken seriously.

Nic for all his quiz questions, but we specially dig the “Jeremy” one (it was a rat or a mouse, wasn’t it?)

Congratulations! The 2 hampers are yours.

Special mentions go to Bartek, Chantal and Craig, who were also close in the running, sorry guys.
