A huge amount of people are up scaling their business hopes in anticipation for next years Soccer World Cup in South Africa. We are in the final phases of construction and development and it all looks good, or does it?. We have been doing some investigations on what happens to small businesses in a country that host large sporting events like the world cups and Olympics with some interesting results.
Next week the Entrepreneur Incubator start a series of workshops aimed at helping small businesses gear up, understand, equip and survive a World Cup year. We have identified 3 distinct phases that will each offer unique challenges to the business owner and without a suitable strategy we will see up to 40% of businesses disappear from our landscape by the end of 2010. Being prepared may just mean survival.
