Branded entertainment: giving customers a positive branded experience

Recently, I’ve noticed a steep increase in branded entertainment. Brands are looking to get their target audience to experience their products in a memorable and engaging way.

A good example was the recent Golf Punk / Jamesons / Parlotones and Poker event that I attended. It was a complete blast, with celebs mingling with bloggers, journos and sports stars alike. The music was amazing and the two brands in question, Golf Punk and Jammies, made out like bandits.

At World Wide Creative, we recently held an evening with a select bunch of clients and mates to experience the sumptuous whisky brand Ben Riach (Scottish, yet owned by two Saffas nogal). It was tasty as hell, with a bonafide Scottish guy in a kilt giving us the low down on this premium range. A good time was had by all, and everyone left feeling the warm coal-fired glow from Ben Riach’s finest.

Our good buddies Jon and Heinrich over at Cherryflava have been humming the experiential tune for some time.

If you’re interested in this kind of thing for your organisation, my advice is to attend one of the Second Base or Brand Hooligans workshops to get a taste of what it’s all about.
