My First Time!

When last did you do something for the first time?
A question that all us small business owners need to ponder on a regular basis. Yesterday I was forced to do a bunch of things that I had never even thought of doing, like getting from Paarden Island to Observatory via Pinelands and how to drive door deep through running water with a half deflated wheel that had a nail stuck through the side wall. When times get tough, in my case the huge storm we had in Cape Town, we need to get creative to survive and make it out the other end in one piece.
But why wait for bad times to get out of the box and do something new and different. We should be attacking each day, every task as if it was our first and thinking of new ways to get from point A to point B. Marketing is not a science it becomes an art of trial, test, record and try something else. Change, be creative and measure the results to learn from the experiment.
Last week I did some marketing for Brain Fit on Face Book and for just $6.12 I was able to obtain just over R5000 worth of business in 4 days. This week a modified version did not work as well. Next week we do some radio work and more on LinkedIn and maybe some flyers for the upcoming expo. All I am suggesting is that we never give up and stop flogging the proverbial horse and blaming others for our lack of business growth. Small business has the privilege of been able to think fast and act even faster. Lets not see that go to waste.

That sounds like a hugely loaded question. But yes, It was a quit logo that I put together.
Why the question?
