We like Gareth Cotton. He’s young, smart and represents one of the growing breed of SA entrepreneurs with that ‘world-domination’ look in his eyes. He’s also a Brand Hooligan.
One of Gareth’s ventures is Chariot Limousines, and a spin off of this business is a party bus that he’s trying to flog. Gareth asked us to mention it on Ideate – which, of course, we’re happy to do.
We’re happy to do it because we know there’s a crazy, eclectic bunch of Ideate readers that we know would only be TOO keen to take on something like this.
Check this puppy out:
Gareth says: “We’ve had the bus valued at aproximately R130,000, but we’d be prepared to take a fair bit less than that, as we’re looking for a quick sale. So make us an offer!”
I asked Mike, my long suffering business partner, if we could buy it for World Wide Creative, and brand it as the Heavy Chef bus, but he’s not keen. (Damn!) I’m still working on it though.
So, Ideate followers – let’s see which one of you business-crazy madmen are going to take the opportunity here…

The best part of this is that the bus is mobile and can follow the events and people.
It could also be a home to live in if the business fails.

And just an update in general, guys:
We’ve had a huge amount of interest in the bus (as you can imagine for something this unique), but nobody had any cash to back up their talk. So, please, serious buyers only…
On the positive side, we’ve recently sold one of our other non-core vehicles, and got much more for it than we could have hoped! That means we can now accept MUCH less for the bus. So make us an offer around R70-80k, we’ll listen to them all…
(For the accountants out there, it will work at least 3-4 days a year on shoots, at R10k a day, giving you a 50+% return on investment!)
