Advertising agencies’ recession spat

This has done the blogging rounds already but it’s still worth an Ideate post.
These are two successive billboards seen in South African airports, both placed by successful South African advertising agencies. First The Jupiter Drawing Room, then Ogilvy’s rejoinder. It’s the next in a long line of advertising wars between brands, but the first I’ve seen between advertising agencies.
The Ogilvy ad contains a link to its site called ‘Ogilvy on Recession’.
…Fight! Fight! Fight!

Funny, I’ve been wanting to write about this on my blog for ages but my mobile doesn’t take great pictures & my camera is always packed in my bag at the counter.
Glad someone’s finally put it ‘out there’!

Hey Marcel, I’ve also seen it a couple of times – online and offline – but it definitely deserves our attention. Looking forward to seeing the next step if Jupiter has their back up.
