Scott from Google asked about 50 people of different ages and backgrounds this question in Times Square in New York. The responses are pretty hilarious.

Classic! Just asked the 3 ladies in my office what Browser they use and they all answered Firefox. Yeah!!! Such smart koeksisters! I also read an article a few years ago about a company that used that question in interviews with prospective Graphic Design candidates. If they said Google or Yahoo was their favourite Browser, their CV was put at the bottom of the pile!

Too radical. Funny though, on the browser debate – I went from IE to Flock, then was a huge FF fanatic, until I realised that I actually never used all the apps and plug-ins that Firefox provided. Recently, I’ve started using Chrome: fast, simple and focused. It’s what you want in a browser.

I assume it’s part of their efforts to “sell” Google Chrome. Pretty darn hard when your target audience doesn’t even know what you’re selling. It explains why IE can maintain dominance despite being rubbish.
