New SARS phishing alert – spread the word…

We’ve reported on ‘phishing’ before. Phishing is when nefarious people try to get your credit card details fraudulently.

SARS have announced a new one that seems to be doing the rounds. You get an email asking for bank details so a SARS “refund” can be paid back to you. There’s a link that takes you to a page that appears similar to the SARS website – it looks like this:

So, if you get this email from some phishy source, prod the screen with your index finger, shake the computer from side to side, then bang your mouse down on the table.

If that doesn’t work, click ‘delete’, and carry on as you were.
