Brewers & Union – the new venture from the team behind Vida

Today, the team (Shane, Andrew, Jon and myself) popped into our Ideate colleague Rui’s new porzie, the super-cool new eatery / beer house on the corner of Bree and Church St. in the city centre. It’s called Brewers & Union, and it’s quite simply, remarkable. Created by the same team that brought you Vida e Caffe, Rui Esteves and Brad Armitage, there was a overwhelming consensus between us that this place rocked the house.

Beer. Friends. Food. Coffee (with selected beans from Nicaragua, well worth checking out btw). Here are some highlights…

Ahh good times.

Do yourself a favour and check it out when you’re in town.

This looks awesome!! Nicely done Rui!
Next time I vist the Cape I’ll definitely pop by for a beer!

Durban deserves something like this! Stick it next to the Max Pop. Fashion concept store!

I agree – what’s more, the beer makes the other watery, chemical-induced stuff we drink taste the dishwater.

This place is shaping up to be the new marketing / geek local hang-out.

What a great idea!! Cape town needs this. I took your advice and i had a superb time and all my mates were licking there plates clean. Wow. Fantastic quality and the beer is nothing we’ve ever had in south Africa. SAB watch out!! These guys know what they’re doing. I’m back there on saurday for the live music and then whenever i have a thirst to quench.

  5. [...] Good beer. Decent coffee. Free wireless. The boys from Vida started it up. We read up about it at ideate. [...]
