Thanks to Tripeak for sending me this link: Coffee in Town. It’s a nice use of Google Maps for coffee meet ups in Prague.
Jozi, Durban and Cape Town are crying out for this. I’d use it for sure…

I actually got a similar idea stuck in my head, more related to our business.
Question: How updated or detailed are Google maps for South Africa? – only other map site thats big in Za is ananzi/brabys which is terrible.

@naeem http://www.openstreetmap.org/ would probably be the solution – not so sure on the restrictions on using it though.
I do agree though … the idea is great – could be a community based setup wiki style … im tempted. Wonder how long it would take to put together …

This would work well as a mobile website, especially in SA.
