Our esteemed colleague at Ideate.co.za, Andrew ‘The Brain’ Smith gave a talk at World Wide Creative’s July Heavy Chef Session. Along with Fiona Phillips from Cybercellar.com, we were treated to some veritable pearls of e-commerce wisdom.

@ Fiona’s talk:
Very good points, personally our online success is probably more a result of our experience from a brick n mortar store which we built up from selling a single car bumper 11 years ago.
All boils down to honesty, be honest with your customers, suppliers, staff, colleagues & even your rivals.
@ Andrew
Nail on the head, very informative. The PR bit is invaluable. I can safely say this type of advertising sometimes delivers alot more then the traditional print advert.
The irony i found, many of the tips Andrew & Fiona touched on, we somewhat discovered by accident or just fell in into it.
non of us hold any degrees, diploma’s, or high level IT qualifications. Sometimes one tries too hard to go ‘by the book’ – you have to sometimes just go with your intuition & take the occasional risk.
Suck to have these short evenings in CPT while us jo’burgers are left out
