Our first sale!

Yesterday I wrote about our team’s new online venture, Art Revision. So, I thought it would be cool to post about our first sale. This painting is a replica of a photo taken by a classic racing car driver. Eddy, the racer, is the guy in the red car.
[To clear up any confusion, this sale was made prelaunch - not yesterday! Paintings take around 3 weeks to be completed and delivered. We can't do a painting in a day
... ]
Above: Stephen (new guy at World Wide Creative) with our first sale! Yeeha!
Above: Eddy, who bought the painting, says he’s really stoked with the detail.
Above: Eddy is actually the driver of the red car. He was emotional when he saw his old photo converted into a lively, large scale oil painting.
All in all, we know we’ve got a long way to go with this little enterprise, but we’re enjoying the experience of a first sale and a happy customer.

congrats me.
That feeling of the first sale is always awesome
I remember our first online sale in 2006, was a thursday afternoon (5:10pm) – just launched our online store after over 3 months of development. Was approximately 45minutes after we went live

Agreed!
There’s that crazy warm and fuzzy you can’t describe when your first sale comes in…
Well done

Thanks guys.
Stephen does smile, promise… In fact he cracked a grin a week ago, at around 10.23 in the morning.
Truth be told, this sale was a bit of a loaded one. Eddy is Mike’s dad, so it doesn’t really count when it’s family. We will really celebrate when the first sale to a non-friend, non-family member happens through the website. The reason I posted about it was to show the quality of artwork that we produce.
Currently there has been loads of traffic, lots of people joining the Facebook group, 5 resellers signed up… BUT no website sales yet.
Art Revision has some way to go, but we’re excited about the potential!
