In Ireland, entrepreneurs rank second only to rock stars!

Huh? Entreprenuers are regarded nearly as sexy, elusive, bad ass and wild as Fender slinging, Jack Daniel’s swigging, Marlboro smoking gods of rock?
Are the Irish really as nuts as we’re lead to believe, or does their society see pure potential in the lunatics that ditches a secure 9-5, in favour of cashflow worries and a system that prides itself on kicking the small guy in the sweet spot.
Apparently just the awards show for the country’s top entrepreneur was prime time television viewing fare.
Here’s an interesting story about how they created all the hype [drool].

I think it’s in their blood. Take the late Bill Lynch (former CEO of Imperial Holdings), he took the group to amazing heights and won the world Entrepreneur award in 2006, all from sunny SA. But he never let his Irish heritage go!
