Hi Edmond, you can sell just about anything online! If you have your own site it is even better. To get started though – before even thinking about designing your own site – i’d suggest you register with an auction site or two just to get a feel for how things are done!

In terms of what you can sell the list is endless: from smaller items such as stamps to large items like cars. In terms of value you can sell small expensive items like jewellery or cheaper stuff like ebooks.

So the internet really is your oyster….anything goes!

Some words of advice….research and do more research….don’t just jump in head over heels….feel the waters and if you like it go for swim!

Also, VERY IMPORTANTLY….stay on the right side of the law! Do not sell anything for which you don’t have the copyrights to! Don’t sell on promises in other words, make sure you have the item ..in hand.. before you list it for sale!

Hi guys, I need some help. I want to start an internet business but i have no idea how to create an order page with Paypal buttons.Are Paypal accounts linked to your South African bank account? Do any S.A banks provide online merchant accounts? I want to sell my own products and will incorporate produts from other companies, but I’m concerned as to when and how i’ll get paid.

I don’t understand South Africans they complain everyday but do absolute nothing about it. Useful info! One thing that is also very important is to ensure your website is global, not local, if that’s where you want to go. If you’re trying to get to the global market, you’ve got to research what other people in your field are doing and how they present their websites. It’s the first port of call so be careful of using local slang and buzz words!!
