Looks like a great idea for the odd traveller who wants to load it with books etc. But what about the battery life? Bit tough taking this gadget into the sticks without a power supply nearby to charge the batteries. I doubt you can read a whole book without charging the batteries.

Fred, whilst i agree with you on some level, it will take a bit of getting used to. But you can't deny the appeal of being able to travel with kilograms of reading material on one tiny device?? and how bout when you wanting to refer a quote from a book u just can't remember? is there no appeal in having your collection of books always backed up and only a click away?
In this day and age I think we are constantly looking for ways that technology can improve our lives and remove clutter?
Amazon isn't the first, Sony has already had a bash, but i think Amazon's solution is far superior, tho it doesn't look nearly as cool: http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&categoryId=16184

And who would want to use something like this? http://www.pagesuite.co.uk/
Tho they seem to be doing really well? ;)

And what happens when one spills coffee or wine on it? It'll be very risky reading it in the bath (not that I read in a bath, I don't have one).
