The “Ideal” Online Store

Arthur Goldstuck has written on News24 about the "ideal" online store. He makes some seemingly obvious (and yet largely ignored) points such as:

"The ideal online retail store allows me to browse before I register. I don’t have to show my ID when I walk into a normal store, so why should I online?"

and

"The ideal online store allows me to contact a human being. At the very least, give me a phone number I can use for enquiries or follow-up. Even better, give me the number and the name of a person or department I can contact. Just because I’m using a computer doesn’t mean I don’t need the human touch sometimes."

Before the Christmas rush, now is the time to go over your company’s website and make sure you haven’t missed some obvious blunders.
