Spinning, shiny prisms…anybody?

Am I the only one who been wondering what the deal is with these shiny, spinning prisms that seem to be appearing on the top of buildings all over the place?
Does anyone have any idea?
Jon says they are to keep birds away, but somehow I think it’s a little more sophisticated than that.

Please excuse the photo quality – I took it with a cell phone camera, zoomed in, while pulling off from a traffic light. Not the greatest!

My guess is that someone is a really good salesman and they actually have no value other than being made out of ‘recycled materials’ and being ‘CFC free’.
Well… I suppose there has to be something there for people to mount them onto the roof.. unless it’s just a really reeally good salesman at work..

No ways man. Those things are some alien attraction sh!t for those “believers” out there. Some sort of energy from the sun reflecting to the aliens flimda.
Stay far away!
(Well I must admit, I have also heard those scare the birds claims, but hey, you never know!)

In war times planes land on roads and highways, so these things act as guides so that they don’t hit the buildings.

This is yet another secret society that has arisen with the ranks of the common man. They are indeed marketed to scare them birds away, but please, we know better. Just look at the buildings that have them. Ask yourself, who owns these buildings and what is happening inside behind the close doors and drawn blinds.
When the time comes, and it may be soon, all that will be left will be lots of demolition and a bunch of buildings with those silly sparkle triangle things on their roofs.
As for me, I am starting a new thing and putting tin foil balls on all the edges of my roof (to scare birds away of course) but maybe, just maybe it will just help protect me from what is looming over the horizon.
Bean me back up now, I am finished in this blog….

Definitely a bird-scarer. A building across the road from our company had them fitted, and the pyramid’s bugged us for weeks. We did some digging and found the answer.
