Shee's verry hot!Franchising can be a really good option for you if you want to start your own business. South Africa is a franchising nation with many successful franchises under its belt, and there are many great opportunities available. Not cheap, but there.

I have a family member who has gone the franchising route – he’s opened two stores through a well known franchise in the space of 2/3 years and is looking at opening more in the near future. It’s been a good option for him, primarily because he doesn’t have the time (he’s still holding down a rather demanding full-time job) to develop a business from scratch .

Jeremy Elwood has written a very helpful article on the benefits and downfalls of franchising and startups.

Entrepreneurs have plenty of questions that need answered when they’re planning new ventures, covering everything from business type to location to funding.
