Frodo: I can’t do this, Sam.

Sam: I know. It’s all wrong. By rights Ideate shouldn’t even be here. But we are. It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. … Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.

Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam?

Sam: That there’s some good in this blogosphere, Mr. Frodo… and it’s worth fighting for.

Pippin: Maybe Treebeard’s right. Ideate doesn’t belong here, Merry. It’s too big for us. What can we do in the end? We’ve always got static HTML. Maybe we should go back.

Merry: The fires of Stopforth will spread. And the woods of Tuckborough and Buckland will burn. And… and all that was once green and good in this world will be gone. There won’t be Web 1.0, Pippin.

In case you’re wondering why we’re asking for your vote again, let me explain that the SA Blog awards operate in 2 stages. First there are the nominations, where anyone can submit a blog. The judges sift through the submissions and based on quality of the site and the number of nominations, they choose the top 10 in each category. Ideate has successfully made it through the first stage, and nabbed a top 10 place in the "Best SA Business Blog" section. While this is a great honour in itself, our competitive natures compel us to aim for a win, so we are once again requesting that our loyal readers exercise their mouse-clicking fingers and vote for us. Here is the link to hop directly to the page, scroll down to the bottom and hit submit: http://2007.sablogawards.com/vote/voteforme/363.

Ha ha! The fires of Stopforth. My word.

Modesty gets you nowhere. If you don’t win best business blog I’ll dress up like the character in your header for my next CT trip :P

Sheesh, talk about a left turn… You’ve been watching too many of those 4hr extended Lord of the Rings special editions brother.

Nevertheless, I hope the voting doesn’t take as long as the tree thingies did in the movie…!

I’m preparing myself for the next 27 Geek dinner. Apparently geeks are supposed to enjoy fantasy stuff?

I’ve had to change my name on these blogs because that Stopforth geezer has monopolised the name Mike on all of them:-)

For those that don’t know Andrew has watched Lord of the Rings about 15 times which was the scariest thing I heard all week. I’m even try to claw back my vote for them as best SA Business blog. I’m quite worried that someone who can name Pippen and Merry as people in everyday conversion could be sharing his business thoughts with the South African public.
