Our very own Fred came through tops in the Muti.co.za logo contest.
It was neck and neck the whole way with Mark Forrester playing a hard game, but in the end it was the late entry that came through for a convincing win.
Fred, nice one – pizza all round on you buddy! See all the logos here. Voting results here.
If you have never heard of Muti, here’s a snippet from the site:
Muti is a social bookmarking site inspired by reddit and Digg but dedicated to content of interest to Africans or those interested in Africa.
Shane Dryden is the 'Maven' at Ideate. The driving-force of Yuppiechef, Shane loves to write on advertising and innovation. He spots the non-obvious stuff behind the obvious, which seems obvious, but isn’t really that obvious (obviously). View more articles by Shane.

Well done chaps. It was a well fought fight right to the dying hours it seemed.
I’m glad I lost to a logo I like, has a Googlish feel to it. I’m just not sure if the colour combination resembles the South African flag too much. Muti after all covers African content, not just South African …

Thanks okes. And thanks to the folk who voted for the logo! It’s a nice way to start the week.
Mark – cheers for the compliment. Clicked through to your blog, and I dig your SA blog awards logo. You have my vote (not that it counts in that one but anyway)
PS: Shane, brother, I love the way you gave the logo room to breathe in the post. A logo always needs room to breathe.
