How to name your company

I’ve been involved in quite a few company-naming episodes in my fairly short working life, and most of the time it’s fairly hit-and-miss. A few names are thrown around, one seems to stick, and that’s it. Only once the ink has dried on the cc registration and the website has been built do we realise that it’s almost impossible to pronounce over the phone! (Ask Fred if you need some funny examples.)

Michael McDerment has written a more scientific article on how to name a company, which definitely has some gems in it: Read it here.
