As much as we love writing on Ideate to "document our journey" even if nobody reads it (which is what we tell ourselves when motivation is low), it is very satisfying to receive a comment from someone we don’t know, or to see our stats slowly growing.

Here is an article on how to increase search engine traffic. It speaks about how to write better headlines and content, how to encourage people to link to you, and how to "network". We might be putting some of these tactics in place this year. Read it here.

Content and networking is indeed very important. But also giving the option to comment (like here) and… trackbacking where the text of the trackbacked post is (partly) shown on your topic (but that doesn’t seem to work on this blog).
Commenting on other peoples blog and trackbacking from their post gest traffic in also, but only if your content is interesting, because that way you start working ‘your network’
