The view from my office

After my last post, it may be pertinent to forward some of my own reasons why South Africa (and Cape Town in particular) is such a rocking place to live and work.
Here is the first reason: In how many other major cities can people organise business meetings where you have to compete with the sound of waves crashing? These pics are taken about 5 mins ago; I’m sitting at the Radisson in Green Point looking out over the water waiting for Simon and Brent from Switch Design.
Mike and co. in London: look and drool, folks. Look and drool.

Re places to have business meetings: yesterday I met over 35 business people again in very nice surroundings – and nicely warm with this chilling autumn-weather ;-(
Meet them there almost every week, same day, same place, same very early hour!

(and as you can see, we do have water also. To be honest: had water, it’s now filled with plastic plants!)
But have to admit Fed, I’m getting jealous (not so much about the view from the meeting place, but more about the sleeveless ‘work-attire’)

Thanks for reminding me Karin! Believe me, I’m a huge fan of Ashford / Kent area, which is why I get such a kick out of visiting our UK branch.
The sleeveless work attire is the kind of thing that irritates the heck out of our esteemed (and very professional) UK director, but is also a big reason why Cape Town is such a great place to do business.
