On Ideate we don’t normally just link to other articles, but this one says it really well: YouTube’s competition misses the point

Getting your business to work is not about providing the product or service with the most features. In fact, your features don’t even have to be the best! You’ve just got to have a business that "works", and keeps the customers coming back for more and telling their friends about you.

    This is written about very well in ‘Good to Great’ in which Jim Collins’ research showed that fancy technology had little to do with the actual success as much as other factors such as relationships, being first to market and usability. Technology is an accelerator, not a business breaker.
