Here is some more feedback from my esteemed colleague, Charl, about experiential marketing:
- Experiential marketing is very broad, but is essentially anything that involves a first hand brand experience.
- BAT do it well, as do some drink brands, e.g. Red Bull.
Personally, I can’t think of a single decent small business example that stands out. I’ve been to trade fairs, parties, markets, holiday towns in season, festivals etc. but I don’t remember any small company that used the ‘experience’ to lasting effect. The ones that stick are the big companies with all their marketing firepower – like Red Bull, the tobacco guys and the various drinks companies.
