What the Flock is this new browser?

Our resident studio maven (Shane) recently started the whispering of a new item that he was gathering data on. The Maven works quietly, but swiftly, like a ninja. It starts with an almost undetectable endorsement, like: ‘Fred, let me show you the design progress on my computer…’
I saunter over and look at Shane’s work and notice that he’s using a new browser. So, naturally I go: ‘So, what’s with the new browser?’ and he’s like: ‘Oh, this? It’s Flock – it’s pretty cool.’ And so it starts.
A couple of days later it has graduated to: ‘You know, Fred, you should really give Flock a go. It works way better than what you’re using…’
Unable to withstand the pressure, I download the thing and hey presto, I’m amazed at the functionality of Shane’s new toy. The ease of use, the slick interface, the intuitive widgets like tabbed browsing (which IE still hasn’t gotten right!) – but what struck me was the all-singing, all-dancing feedreader ‘My News’ thingie, which just kicks ass.
Now I can browse my favourite blogs fast and furious. I’m hooked. Flock rocks.
The maven strikes again.
P.S. The Maven has struck once more this morning. It was an innocent ‘So guys, have you seen that Google Talk has brought out a new voice message feature?’ I now have a message in my inbox from Google Talk. In a week I will probably be using it regularly. Witness the power of the Maven.

Fred, I reckon next time you should see how long you can resist the force of the Maven. We could even start a leader-board which would say “Fred – 39 days, Andrew – 16 days”….
