iBroken iPodphone

Surely a mistake has been made.
I have been waiting for a few months now for Apple to publicly issue an apology for the Motorola phone that was released last year. Now I’ve had enough and I’m going to publicly vent my rage on this venerable blog.
Supposed to be Apple’s first foray into the mobile phone sector, the much awaited phone was met with a comprehensive raspberry from its legions of fans when Steve Jobs revealed it to an audience of expectant onlookers.
Surely the ‘ROKR’ phone (like ‘rocker’, geddit?) did not come from the same people who gave us the sleek lines of the iPod and the iBook? I mean, look at this thing. It looks like they had a design competition and the team from Volvo won.
Anyway, it seems I’m not the only one who’s a little miffed. Do a search for ‘iPod phone’ and take a gander at the hundreds of blogs that are debating this very same issue.
Addendum: check out this other pic (below). Ah, the sleek lines; the stylish sheen; the lightly Photoshopped reflection on the table… Now this is what you’d expect, but apparently, I’m told, this is the work of some clever Danish guy trying to give the guys at Apple a small hint at the direction they should go for.
