Have I been wronged??

Here’s the story: I signed up with OUTsurance, and they were pretty good until they said I needed a ‘Section 4a thingie immobiliser system’ on my car. So I told them that I don’t need one, as my car has an anti-hijack immobiliser that is really effective. It’s hidden, so if you stole my keys you wouldn’t go very far as it cuts the car out after about 30 secs, and believe me, you won’t find the button unless you know where it is. So they said ‘Nope – you got to have one of these special ones! – and you need to go to Radio Autosonic to get it installed.’
So this weekend I took it Radio-Autosonic in Plumstead to look at the current immobiliser and test it, because I wasn’t keen to pay the R900 to install it. Radio Autosonic told me that it did not suit OUTsurance and installed the new one.
So now, I have one of those little jack immobilisers that you stick into the slot next to the ignition before you start the car. But what if someone hi-jacks my car? Surely, everyone knows the way these things work? Before this new system, if someone hi-jacked me and told me to get out the car, he would drive off, and as soon as he stops the car, it would immobilise. Pretty effective, yup? Now, the guy just pops the immobiliser jack in and hey ya! the car starts.
Anyhow, I’m pretty miffed. I’m light of R900 and I got a crap immobiliser. What should I do? (and on a more conspiracy theory note: Are OUTsurance and Radio Autosonic in bed together?)

Why do you insure your vehicle in the first place when you insuring it with Outsutance? Take some advice from a fool…go to either Santam M&F, SA Eagle or CIB. When you have a serious claim you will get some serious service. They will put you in the same position without feeling like a criminal!!!! TRUST

OUTsurance have since redeemed themselves.
SA Eagle do our business insurance, and they are awesome. I think its the 10% extra that OUTsurance have been putting in that has impressed.
